Mage-Polished Items

If you're approaching the city, checking the ground for one of these is one of two ways to tell if you're going the right way. Found in the outskirts and in any natural section found in the city, these rocks and other natural items are found just under the dirt. Their sheen isn't caused by natural or man-made polish, but by something else entirely.

Usually we only find rocks with this mage-polish, but it seems to affect other natural items just the same. We have a leaf from last fall on display in the museum, the orange and red color preserved for us to see. Other examples I can think of off the top of my head are pieces of wood, burgundy ferns, and even a couple flowerheads. Those can be delicate, so I can see why we don't find too many of them.

They don't have more use than regularly polished rocks, but they're pretty cool to look at anyway. We sell most of them in the shop, but we've kept a few of our more interesting finds for the museum or just for ourselves.

I wonder if there's any other mage-polished objects we haven't gotten to see yet..?
