Introduction
Due to his friendly and cheery demeanor, Cris is often seen as an unsuspecting individual by outsiders, and weak by his peers. Despite this, he's shockingly good at his job. Swift and merciful, he refuses to make it slow for his targets.
Personality
Cris is a kind, soft soul, or at least he tries to be. Holding on to who he was before the incident, he does all he can to be kind to those he meets, even if they turn out to be a target of his. He gets anxious easily around people he doesn't know well yet, especially if they're anywhere near the people he holds dear. The fears and his past threaten to swallow him whole at times, but he tries not to be overprotective of those close to him, as he's well aware they're capable of taking care of themselves.
Backstory
Early Life & Childhood
Cris was happy as a child. Born to two loving parents, he and his little sister Amethyst spent their first years in peace. Their father Kylen, however, looked very sad at times, which neither sibling understood at the time. Even when their mother, Lilia, explained that he used to work for bad people, they still wondered what exactly happened. Did their dad get hurt by the bad people?
The Incident
When Cris was about 10, Lilia came back home... very upset. She didn't explain what was wrong, insisting that she was fine and just needed a bath. She seemed alright after the bath, but Amethyst mentioned she still seemed wobbly. Kylen didn't know what happened either, despite asking Lilia on multiple occasions. It seemed it would remain a mystery...
But soon after, everything changed in a single night. Cris had woken up to a commotion downstairs, which had stopped suddenly before he even left his room. Upon going downstairs, he found his mother's body, with a gaping wound in her chest. Terrified, Cris went to look for his father and Amethyst, only to find something even more horrifying. His father, holding an axe, and Amethyst, having lost her only leg, on the floor.
.... Cris doesn't fully remember what happened after that. Only that his father died, and he left the house with Amethyst, encountering an old friend of Lilia's, Lucerna, who took them in.
Post-Incident
With Lucerna, Cris and Amethyst began to recover somewhat from what happened. For Amethyst, she seemed to bounce back quickly, especially once she got a wheelchair (that she immediately began to modify, much to Lucerna's dismay). But Cris... never really seemed to recover. He was a lot more jumpy, checking strange sounds and worrying over Amethyst more often than not. And it stayed that way for years...
Until he met someone. This person, who had introduced himself as Claymore, worked with his father, once upon a time. Cris, while suspicious, wanted to learn more about his father and what exactly happened that night, so he agreed to go work with Claymore and his organization in order to find the truth. There, under the codename Junior, he trained as an assassin, all while listening carefully for anything to help him in his investigation...
